This is gonna be less pretty bc I'm doing it from my phone while at work.

I'm roz, and I have another intro to add to the last fifty intros we've had.

This is Solomon Webb. He's a sophomore, in ebonhide and the chaser for their quidditch team. I mean A chaser. So Solomon is from Honduras. He went to a magic school there on the mainland before coming here. Yes, he speaks English.

So basically, Solomon likes learning shit. Everything he speaks about, he speaks with genuine passion. This is the kid that can answer any random question you have because he's a walking trivia game. He's in nearly every club, he's bummed he couldn't take more classes than he already is. But he's also chill most of the time, super nonconfrontational, and a good friend. He's that friend that is nearly down for anything but also the most level headed of the group. Sure, he'll bury a body with you, but he's gonna make sure we do this smart.

So! He needs friends, and also people he probably accidentally annoys. Previous crushes or exes are also totally cool. Etc etc.

As a senior and junior, Tabitha and Dominic won't really know him. However, Will is a fellow sophomore who will be in classes with him, and Joanna is a house/yearmate!

I really feel like Solomon likes Dom from afar tho. He just seems like such a cool dude.

Essie loves learning shit, though moreso in the useless and obscure skills category than general trivia. She could probably also use some friends who are a little more grounded and not just for squealing about boys to. SO. Essie is available for being friends with if Solomon can handle being around someone who is very Not Chill.

Oh and I guess there's Ursula too???? Shit I forgot about Ursula. Sorry Ursula. They actually managed to only overlap on Gaming club.

Solomon would love to be Essie's friend. And he's definitely taken interest in useless skills - he spent a whole summer learning how to throw playing cards, and then ninja stars, just because it seemed like a cool thing to know. But yeah, he could definitely be her down to earth friend because friends with no chill are still totally cool by him.

idk how ursula and solomon only share one club. I filled out his schedule and i think there was only like two clubs he's not in. I had to make up for Chris being a hermit obviously.

FRIEND! Clem's one of the other chasers on the Ebonhide team and could badly use some more level-headed friends haha.

Yes, totally. I feel like his level headedness tends to attract not so level headed friends, but Solomon is totally cool with that. But he's also super active, despite his chillness, so they can totally be active together too. He'll just be there to make sure they also stay hydrated.

yes, totally. I figure I'll make a journal post about it tomorrow, for him. But he would have been sorely disappointed if Clem chose that moment to sit one of these out.

Charlotte well I think she will find him interesting. I have no idea what he will think of her.

I have literally no idea how he feels about Charlotte. But Solomon has a capacity for accepting other points of views and personalities very well I feel. So he doesn't like her, and if she's friendly enough toward him, he'll be just as friendly back. He can literally start a conversation with a wall, so if she's okay with him starting conversations with 'did you know' then they should be alright.

I think Cecil definitely likes Solomon. But he's a bright and enthusiastic kid that's giving his all to everything, so really, what's not to like? I don't know if they'd be tight or whatnot because of the difference in age, but Cecil will be friendly toward him in Choir and Outdoor Exploration and just generally.

Casper...is Casper. He's negative and immensely prickly and, while he doesn't usually yell or bully, he can be intimidating, which might be a problem? That said, they do play Quidditch together, have a few clubs together, and are housemates, so maybe Solomon has seen enough of him to know that his growling is usually harmless. Up to you! Also, Casper wants to know if he likes any harder music? Because he's so tired of hipster music and wants a proper guitarist (SORRY DIEGO) to play with.

Cole probably likes Solomon, both because he's in drama (and that automatically gives him all the points) and because he seems to know EVERYTHING. Also, he's nice and Cole is very curious about those comic books. Share, please, share. So...if Solomon can put up with the little oddball, they could be friends?

I like Solomon loves Cecil. They're definitely not super tight, because he is a wittle baby, but he has mad respect for Cecil.

And yeah. I feel like he's probably used to Casper's personality by now, and just tends to shut down and step away slowly when Casper gets super intimidating. I have it put in there that Solomon basically latches onto every music he discovers - some music have just been slower on the discovery because he didn't grow up in America. That said - if someone, like idk Casper per se, actually introduced him to harder music - Solomon would love it. I believe it was Chuck Berry that got him into learning how to play a guitar, then he kinda went forward with that, and went through the sixties, and then the seventies and eighties. So going into Gooseberry, he had a great understanding of hair metal at the very least, and AC/DC outside of hair metal. Because ... you kinda gotta know AC/DC, it's just a requirement. But seriously, despite how into learning and sharing the kid is, he's also pretty chill and fast on the pick up.

Okay so for the record, so far I love Cole. I think he's hilarious unintentionally. Chris is squinting at him pretty hard, but I think he's great. But Solomon has probably already done embraced Cole. He will share all the things with Cole, especially the comics. And anything else that comes to mind.

Casper is sorry about his temper. Kind of. THAT SAID. He'd love to introduce Solo to punk and other fast-angry-guitar music. He might even be willing to lend him his ~~precious~~ iPod to help with the education process. Also, he's pissed at the other prefects (except Katya) right now and pleased to be included on the rule-breaking~ ;)

I'm glad! Cole is special. We'll see how he plays out. XD And that's a very understandable reaction on Chris' part, really. And awww, Solomon. You're a good sport and Cole thinks you're awesome~

I don't want to say Solomon views him as the cool prefect, because he likes all the prefects but he views Casper as a team mate and that clearly takes precedence. But I also think Solomon would fall in love with punk and learn everything about the history of punk and be like idk how I could have missed this, even though he's not from Europe or America and it's very clear how he missed it. Then he'd have to show Casper the song he learned on guitar.

Cole is very special, and very adorable. And Solomon things he's awesome too.

My responses to intros are so long now that I have 4 kids please someone save me from myself. I'm still so behind on responding to old intros.... including my own.

Calvin will know Solomon best of all mine. I think how close they are depends on a) how willing Solomon was to forgive Calvin for being a dick last year, and b) if Solomon can find his less-of-a-dick personality enjoyable. Solomon is bright but not aggressive and works hard, so he won't set off Calvin's THIS GUY IS A THREAT alarms, so there's the potential for them to be on good enough terms. And.... he quietly thinks Solomon is cute but NEVER MENTIONING THAT TO ANYONE.

Reid and Solomon will interact through Quidditch and archery. Reid is... Reid. But I think he'll like Solomon, and be "nice" to him.

Solomon is the kind of boy he'd be ok with Essie dating. He's nice and smart and well behaved, etc. etc. He'll be a nice upperclassman dude, and likes to listen people talk about their passions if Solomon ever wants to tell him about some cool thing he knows. And they're both in music! Diego's a secret old man/cloistered pureblood despite adopting all his friends' mannerisms, and gravitates towards mostly acoustic music.

Rafael is probably also really nice to Solomon, with a dose of teasing and being his usual.... intense self. But Solomon doesn't seem like a rulebreaker, so I doubt he'll need to deal with Rafael's sharp edges much, if ever.

Solomon was taught that there's a very fine line between being accepting and being a doormat, but parts of that has been lost in translation, since he's a kid. So really, he's mostly just accepting. So if Calvin is less dickish this year, and needs a second chance, Solomon will give him that. But also a third and fourth and fifth chance. Solomon basically went into this school year talking to Calvin as if nothing from last year had happened. So if Calvin can be friends with Solomon, Solomon is gonna treat him like they've been friends all along lol

Solomon also likes Reid. And will talk to Reid enough for the both of them.

So being the exact opposite of Chris, Solomon probably likes Diego well enough. And can also keep up with Diego's obsessions about lizards, because Solomon read a whole book on reptiles once. And they are both in music! He also like acoustic music because low key - this kid likes all music. He thinks there's a personality to every kind of music, and you just gotta get to know that personality intimately. He's probably already given Diego that speech, and a demonstration by playing different kinds of violin music to emphasis how each kind feels different because their personality is different.

I love you Rafael. We got so many great unique personalities in this last batch of intros I swear. Solomon also probably respects Rafael from afar, but the kid is totally planning on pranking Ribbonfin soon. He's a very low key rule breaker. Not a pothead or into partying hard, but he will prank the shit out of you. He puts his studies above rule breaking, and always does it smartly, because if you break a rule, you need to have three back up plans to the consequences of that, outside of just apologizing.

Calvin will definitely try to be friends, and will be relieved that Solomon seems to be willing to just pretend last year didn't happen.

Reid will listen and nod along. And maybe not get all of it, but he'll try.

Diego would actually love that. He's obviously kind of an airhead, but he takes music very seriously, so Solomon has probably seen a much more thoughtful and careful side of Diego who works really hard on his craft and thinks a lot about what it means and how to improve. He's working on learning the violin currently, so would love to hear Solomon talk about his feelings on the instrument.

I'm so relieved people love Rafael, haha! Anyway, if Solomon is a sweet kid who is clever with his pranks, then Rafael will honestly still like him. If he can get away with it and no one gets hurt, then you know what, good for him. I mean, he's still going to try and catch him, but if Solo can earnestly evade, Rafael will be impressed.

Solomon is ecstatic Diego is trying to learn the violin. Since he learned it at such a young age, he feels like a protective parent to it. So he will be here to give Diego all the patient but passionate pointers he needs if he asks for them.

Tho for Rafael, after this ribbonfin prank, Solomon might enjoy it and decide he wants his legacy to be the person who could prank the longest without even being suspected. The next three years are just gonna be full of misdirection pranks. He doesn't do anything for fame.

i think both z and laurel would get along w solomon to certain extents. c: i could see z enjoying random conversations about various topics here and there, and they both share that kinda chill/levelheaded down for whatevness.

annnnnd laurel's in a couple of extracurriculars with him/might test his knowledge about random stuff just for the sake of it :p

Solomon's very open about conversations, so he would both love random conversations and trivia tests so he probably likes both Z and Laurel. And there's probably that one time Laurel worried him by asking him a question he didn't know, so he disappeared for two days to learn everything about it. Thanks Laurel.

Levi is Levi and Levi likes most everyone. He speaks Spanish like a native speaker (I mean, he basically is) so once he learned Sol was fresh from Honduras he prob just launched into it. ALSO, MUSIC AND QUIDDITCH IN COMMON. And other clubs??? I can't tab out to look rn without losing my place.

Solomon would've kept up completely with Levi's spanish and probably thought he was from a spanish country for probably his first year at Gooseberry. He just thought Levi was like him - misplaced and odd looking in a spanish speaking country. He probably still only speaks to Levi in Spanish because it's nice okay.

But they also share Drama and they're gonna be on this outdoor exploration field trip together. And Solomon probably likes Levi a lot. Because it's just hard not to okay.

He also likes Maggie a lot and feels bad about excluding her from the Ebonhide ward, but this is supposed to be a not entirely approvable secret.

Pippa will know him from classes and Choir! She's a good listener so if Solomon ever gets talking about his current interest then she'd just be there, nodding enthusiastically, like that's so cool, tell me more!

Henrietta will know him mainly through Quidditch, although they're also both in Archery, Boating, and OE lol. She's also pretty chill so she'll just be friendly. :)
