I really wish we had more lines. I love all your characters and a big part of why the big fish family was so great was Ursula. I remember how kind she was to Avery when she came out, it made that really special for me. Essie and Oscar talking snacks was hilarious and she was a really entertaining character. I hope we get to write more together in the future!! ❤️

Paris was one of my favorite additions this year. You made her so weird and surprising that I legitimately enjoyed every opportunity to interact with her. A small part of me high key shipped Paris and Quentin.

Okay. So. You know how I feel about your characters, so honestly, just thank you. Ursula and Ferdie's story is something I Deeply failed at and dropped just everything, but please know without her he would be someone much less. She's the most remarkable person in the world to him, and he's so lucky to have her, and I hope she never lets him forget that.

Essie is my entire heart and soul, and actually I was just reading the Essie/fake Pippa threads from earlier this year, and I hope those never actually really end. Jade would more than completely promise to shove her into just a SERIES of closets until she's actually married with 2.5 children (the .5 is a ghost.)

Without Sun-mi meddling, Leo would have been SLIGHTLY LESS LIKELY to have been tricked into saying yes he'd go on a date with Rafael, so she's a little responsible for that and I hope she's happy and I miss her. I love Jacob and January and I'm so happy that January and Leo are dumb relatives now. Paris is honestly a perfect girl.

So thank you thank you thank you for your beautiful characters and their thoughtful worlds, and for talking to my dumb kids ♥

god i'm so glad ursula survived to this year because this has been such a great year for the piranha moms. also because i ship ferdie and ursula pretty hard but that's another matter. i've told you this before, but i LOVE ursula's arc and development so much. i wasn't joking when i said i would be obsessed with her if she was a tv character, because if degrassi had a character with the same unexpected depth and breadth as ursula i would be writing unbearable essays about how much i love her and i'm going to make her my wife. her and rosy bonding this year was so good??? i was always worried about how rosy relates to girls, but she and ursula really felt like old friends this year, and i was SO GLAD she was on f4. hulk ursula gave me UNTOLD amounts of joy, and just putting the princess in that situation and having her decide she still needed to go find all the other fish after things really went to shit was just SO good.

and then my baby girl essie????? the sweet dumb babies has been my IDEAL ship for jeffy. they are so freaking ridiculous and adorable, and have given me a LOT of joy this year. but even without the ship, i have ALWAYS loved essie?? i love bratty little siblings, so i loved her in year one already, but seeing her grow and be her own character this year has also been so good and i love her and i'm proud of my flying squirrel daughter. here's to many larp weddings to come.

also i can't believe you managed to make riley's dream girl. bless you.
