This is Heather. I have no willpower. Meet Joanna:

* She's the Ebonhide sophomore prefect, in choir, drama and duelling/fencing as well as Astronomy/Wizard Lit outside of the core subjects. She isn't taking an Advanced Class because she's holding out for Animagus Studies next year, and wants to make sure her grades are up.

* Italian American from NYC. Grew up in Queens and went to a pretty disadvantaged magical elementary/middle school there. Given that her parents spend so much of their time running their business, a deli and restaurant in Little Italy, she's a scholarship student because she had no interest in joining the business and threw herself into work instead. She has ambitions to join MACUSA because apparently she doesn't believe in not having lofty goals.

* Was not overly socially aware as a Freshman, may have started out rubbing a few people up the wrong way, but once she realised there were people here like her she relaxed a bit and is a lot more chill.

So hi, you know Trixie clearly and Katya...clearly.

But Ferris oh god I'm sorry. Slacker and grumpy but really she will be nice even if she's sitting there going god rules are stupid. Joanna will have to basically force Ferris to wear her uniform correctly, not cause a ruckus at night, not sneak out, not go wandering in the woods, you know all of those things that she is literally the worst at. I am so sorry.

Joanna I can totally imagine going I LOVE YOU BUT YOU ARE BEING RIDICULOUS NOW GET YOUR DAMN UNIFORM AND GO! and basically being the tough love kind of friend XD

Someone needs to be really or she's going to end up being a complete mess.

so the most obvious connection is with Nate, EBONHIDE PREFECTS YAY 🤗 though she's also got tangential connections to the others! Riley's in drama and probably super annoying bc she WANTS TO BE THE CENTER OF ATTENTION, Rosy's in duelling and choir, Robin's cousins with her dormmate Ferris and also duelling. SO CLEARLY WE HAVE ALL THE THINGS RIGHT?

Woo hooooooo! All the things! Which means no excuses for no interactions, lol!

I am maybe possibly apping aNOTHER Italian American from the other side of the river!(I just spoiled him but oh well!)
WHEN HE IS HERE I WILL TALK about him more but this is so exciting and now I have an elementary school to use!

Also Addy does not have a ton of reason to know her but I'm sure will talk at her from time to time!

Wes is in drama and choir with her and thinks she's adorable, he'll be flirtatious and troublesome because trying to ruffle the cute little sophomore feathers is too much fun, lbr

And Sylla would at least know of her through fencing and same house things! She gets the ambitiousness and pushing herself too far, even if she won't admit it, because British and not talking about feelings in public, etc. BUT SHE FEELS YOU, JOANNA. SHE DOES. Also they're in dueling together, and Sylla feels a weird kinship towards the teeny girls who duel.

Holden will be around. Man he fails.

Jo will probably attempt to flirt, however ineptly XD

laurel: wizard lit and drama! ♥ i'm guessing drama is the bigger chance for interaction etc. :d laurel's v into it and loud and all over the place in there

yo! Quinn would really only know her through prefecting. She'll probably just shake her head when Joanna's grudging about.

Kurt's in Drama with her and his dad is one of them MACUSA big-wigs (in Muggle Relations). He also spends part of the breaks in NYC so they might run into each other more often than expected. Nothing is coming to mind but if you have any ideas I'm open!

Well Charlotte and Joanna are same year and have a few overlapping areas. They are both prefects too. I am not sure whether they will get on or not.

Anuhea I don't see much interaction.

Calvin and Joanna I'm almost certain Do Not Get Along. Between both of them being so abrasive last year (... and Calvin continuing to be a whole new kind of abrasive this year) there's probably some remaining resentment. Calvin definitely gets into "whose grades are better" rivalries with her, but at least the pettiest of his simmering hatred is aimed at poor sweet Cole Moss.

Diego's likely to be nice to her, because he generally likes all the baby sophomores even if they're difficult. Unless she's mean to Essie, or was in the past, and then he'll... idk, frown and be like NOT COOL, JOANNA!!!

Reid, alas, probably doesn't know her very well.

Rafael is a senior prefect, and he appreciates her taking the badge seriously and doing well in school. He's very supportive of her dreams to work in the MASCUSA!

Joanna is probably totally aware (as much as is reasonable) of when he's trying to start things with her, but she gives nothing away. To him at least ;)
