SO, the most relevant is Dinah Dixon (

dinahdanger), who's also a sophomore but in Coppertale. She's loud, she's absurdly confident and full of piss and vinegar, and she writes and draws a comic book that's basically just self-insert friendfiction. She's A Lot and I'm sorry to everyone who has to cross paths with her, but the sophomores tend to interact with her the most.

My others, not in any real specific order are:

Riley Stamper (

riledup) - Azurcrest senior, cheerleader, all around party girl and attention whore. She is a menace.

Rosemary Stoker (

browbeats) - Ribbonfin senior, prefect, protective and sarcastic grump, who really wants all of you Ribbonfin babies to just... please behave. She's intense.

Jefferson Key (

racingstripe) - Azurcrest junior, Quidditch player, he's incredibly upbeat and friendly and loves everyone. He's easy to pick out of a crowd. They're both in Outdoor Exploration though!! Camping is Cool!!

Austin McNamara (

soundscaped) - Ebonhide junior, local acoustic guitar kid, and Gaming Club president. For the most part Austin won't be relevant, but I do little Gaming Club calendars on the first Tuesday of the month if you ever want to reference something that happened during the club!

Georgiana Mills (

wholegrain) - Coppertale senior, prefect, very sweet hippie kid. She's my newest baby and I'm still learning her, but she might just pop up to talk to him sometimes. How's life? How's the world? How's the Joshua Fairbrass universe these days??

Dinah sounds like fun though! Also, she knows how to scuba and Josh almost drowned in his first attempt. The rest sound great even though holy moly you have your hands full (which I'm seeing is a running theme here lol) haha.

Hiiii new friend! My name's JJ! I will try to introduce all my characters in a concise way, because I have a lot of them. If you're super interested in what Joshua might know about them from having attended school with them, I have longer blurbs up here (minus JD, who is new).

Most relevant to Joshua, I have a fellow Ribbonfin Sophomore, Natalie Prince (this journal). She is a huge bother to his roommates, especially Toby, who she bosses around into hanging out with her 24/7. She's a little socially inept, but also very friendly. If Joshua doesn't mind her being pushy with him, I can see them as friends. She also would've overlapped with him at Ilvermorny, where she was a Horned Serpent.

Of my juniors, JD Pitchford (

electable) might interest him, as she's the Outdoor Education TA and also just another general outdoorsy soul. She's a little bit of a busybody, especially with people that she considers to be her people, and if she takes a liking to him she'll probably hassle him to participate in more activities! And go hiking with her! Isn't it a lovely day?

Ariadne Flint (

novelling), junior Ebonhide, may also run into him, as she is also in Muggle Tech Studies. She's a little withdrawn, though, and doesn't make new friends easily.

I'm not sure how much Todd and my seniors, Clem and Reece, would know him, but if anything in their apps or blurbs intrigues you I'm game for any kind of plots!

Sadly though Natalie and Josh weren't in the same house (he's a Thunderbird), but he's friendly as well so maybe from classes? I can definitely see he'd probably have a lot in common with JD though. Plus they have Dueling and Fencing so maybe we can play on that? Like, a healthy rivalry or something?

inksy she is a sophomore from azurcrest and she is a bit of a nerdy wallflower coming into her own. She can have a bit of an edge to her sometimes but for the most part she is nice.

Ginger this journal is a Ebonhide junior who is a bit of a rich mean girl at times but she loves to debate and she is so not cut out for an outdoor school.

Karen has a few similar classes, so maybe they know each other from them? Especially potions. That's Josh's best, and if she ever needs help she can definitely come to him.

Ooh okay! That makes sense then. For some reason I thought you meant DW somehow deleted it. In that case Lazarus is a really helpful extension. In the 6+ years I've used it, I've only ever lost something once and it was my fault. If you start writing a comment and something happens you can come back to it, hit the little ankh, and get your stuff back.

Concordia Knight (

cheer_leader) is most relevant to him - she's a Sophomore as well, but in Coppertale. They share almost every class together and two of his three clubs she's also in, so they probably interact a lot. She's... something else. She's VERY talkative, hyper, and peppy. She's super into getting all up in people's business, but she's kind. Like, competitively kind. She's out to be the BEST PERSON EVER and everyone's best friend. She's all over the place, religious, and spends 90% of her free time cooking for people because that's what makes her feel good. She also loves to dance and has probably enticed him to hang out by making some really great food and then bullied him into dancing with her or something. They should be friends ♥

The rest --

Avery Davenport on this journal: Senior Ribbonfin, so they are both fins together! They are also in Dueling & Fencing, Outdoor Exploration, and Gaming club together. She's extremely friendly and outdoorsy and sportsy, so they probably get along well.

Oscar Zabinsky (

dumb_ass) is a Senior Azurcrest. He's also in gaming and outdoor exploration with Joshua, so they have some overlap. Oz is friendly, nerdy, and will be nice to him.

Isabelle Sargent (

cant_even) is a Junior Ebonhide. She's high strung, anxious, and OCD. She is far more on the shy side, and they don't have any much overlap except for when Equestrian & Outdoor Exploration do things together, so they probably don't talk a lot.

Samantha Sweeney (

oh_girl) is a Junior Azurcrest. She's fun, moody, and a bit reckless. She's in Dueling & Fencing, so they know each other from there and she's... nice enough.

Salem Wagonblast (

salem_wagonblast) is a Junior Ribbonfin, and a Prefect. He's in D&F and Equestrian which does stuff with OE sometimes, so there's some overlap there on top of the fact that they are both Ribbonfin boys and he is just a year older. He's arrogant, pretentious, but deeply invested in the Emotional Welfare of his fellow fish friends and he's a more laid back Prefect. He's probably very kind of Joshua and checks up on him.

I love Cori already and would love for them to be friends! Plus Josh knows Spanish so if she's ever in need of finding words for something he can help. Or they can jabber on in Spanish to their heart's content lol. But I can also see him getting on super well with Avery, Oz, and Salem as well. Also, that journal name for Oz is A+ lmfao.

Ursula de Luca (

cecaelian) is my senior and she's in Ribbonfin. She's also an active member of the Event Committee and its president this year, so she's probably a familiar face, if nothing else. She's a friendly, prissy, recovering mean girl who really likes crowns. She's in Gaming Club and D&F with Josh and would see him around camp!

Estella "Essie" Morales-Tran (

magitechnically) is my junior and she's in Azurcrest. She's also the Artificing TA and on the Quidditch team. She's loud, naive, and irresponsible but she's trying really hard to change that this year!!! (Spoiler: It's not going super great!!!) She's in D&F with Josh!

Paris "Pear" Holloway (

tartinedeflageolets) is my sophomore and she's an Ebonhide. She's a new prefect this year who's obsessed with unicorns, spiders, and carnivorous plants. She's an Aggressively Nice monster who's still navigating how to prefect the rest of the monsters in her year, especially her twin sister London. Most people realize she's.. far more Aggressive than Nice. She's also an Outdoorsy kid and a magical girl scout obsessed with collecting badges. Josh is shorter than her so it's possible she'll decide he's a suitable candidate for trying this whole "crushing on" thing out on?? I don't know, but they have class overlap and she's also in D&F!

I love that the overlap most common so far between everyone here and Josh is D&F. It makes me really glad I put him there. Also, I'll definitely allow the crushing on thing to happen! lmao oh gosh sorry to not be clear at all. Pear's a super weirdo and her crushes are not to be taken seriously at all so no worries~. But she also has a tarantula so that does rise Josh quite a bit in her estimation.

Heyyyy Willow! I'm Meggie, one of the mods. Welcome to the game! I play way too many characters, soooo buckle in.

Most relevant is Archie (this journal) who's an Ebonhide sophomore. Archie is a baby mad scientist with a tendency to stalk people who catch his interest. He's pretty troubled, but soft spoken enough that he comes off as quite sweet. Last year he drugged most of the upperclassmen with Amortentia and just barely avoided being expelled. He... still does shit like that sometimes. Archie's always on board with sophomore shenanigans and mischief, often providing plenty of bad ideas, so if Joshua likes trouble, he might like Archie. Archie himself likes anyone who's not overly aggressive because he has a really low tolerance for stress.

Calvin Evercreech (

evercreep) is a junior Ribbonfin. Calvin's a Slytherin exchange student who's pretty notorious for being really unpleasant. He's whiny, abrasive, proud, and tense all the time with a bad temper. He's extremely fond of Josh's roommate, Tobias, because they're on the same Quidditch team, and he does have softer sides. In general, he's sweeter with fellow Ribbonfins and younger years, and he's loosened up a lot recently. He's the D&F vice pres.

Ophelia Noggins (

useyournoggin) is a junior Ebonhide, but Josh will know her because she's the Outdoor Exploration president. She acts more like a captain than a president, though. Ophelia is shouty, bossy, and hypercritical. On the plus side, she's also energetic, enthusiastic, helpful and fun, but she's kind of a bully to boys. She'll definitely get pushy with Joshua.

Spencer Sweet (

bitterlysweet) is a junior Coppertale. He's an aspiring Olympic figure skater and a wannabe punk. He's loud, flirtatious, friendly and about as subtle as a sledgehammer. Kind of a dumbass. He has an eidetic memory which helps him coast through school, but also makes him really intense and overbearing to know. He'll be friendly with Josh, and might playfully hit on him.

Mackenzie Prince (

princeprincess), senior Azurcrest prefect, is Natalie's older sister. Kenzie is a poised queen bitch who's... not all that bitchy anymore. She loves a good femme fatale aesthetic. She's cold and has a mean sense of humor, but generally is just out to have a good time.

Reid Wainwright (

cyninae) is a senior Coppertale prefect. Reid's an ice prince who seems aloof, arrogant and unfriendly. He's not very social, and he's Coppertale's star Seeker. BUT the reality is that Reid's incredibly awkward and has poor communication skills. He struggles to express himself, so he just... doesn't. He's often fussing over the Coppertale sophomore girls because... hoo boy. They're a lot.

Oh no. Shenanigans with Archie honestly sounds like it'll become a beautiful disaster, and I'm absolutely 1000% on board with that lmfao. And on the bright side, Josh can recognize when things get too far so maybe that can help temper Archie a bit? Plus Josh would never rat the guy out if he was the one caught.

I can definitely see Cal and Spencer being good points in school life for sure. As long as there isn't this overwhelming sense of "don't come near me" I think he'd try to maybe help Cal out when he's in bad moods by distraction. With Spencer, I like that he's not very subtle. It might definitely make Josh laugh.

first up is this kid here, tobias rush, ribbonfin sophomore and one of josh's cabinmates. tobias is either really easy to get along with, or really infuriating, depending on your pov. he's got a dumb puppy's personality: happy, amenable, easy to please, and just... really not bright. he does not always make the best choices. toby's on the quidditch team and is something of a sports prodigy, so he'll always be down to run around outside with josh!

next is marie patterson (

prophesie), a coppertale sophomore. marie is charismatic and loud and just altogether too much. very prone to flights of fancy. she makes bad choices as dramatically as possible, and is best known at school for being 1. a talented singer, 2. in love with love, 3. an actual terror. unfortunately, josh will have to see her around b/c her bandmates are all ribbonfin girls!

jonah pitchford (

exacerbation)'s intro can be found here; he's new! jonah is half dork and half crab, but deep down, he just wants ppl to be okay. if josh is friends with jonah's twin sister, jd, he'd see him often too.

cassius holcomb (

longcons) is a coppertale junior prefect, and zachary zheng is an azurecrest junior prefect; outside of that, i don't know if they'd interact with josh much. if josh ever needs help from someone, he'd be a lot better off going to zach, who is a good boy, over cassius, who is... not.

and lastly, ulysses quayle (

longcons), ebonhide senior. ulysses might be known to josh because their families both work for macusa? the quayles are a legacy political family — super rich, purebloods, the works — from tennessee. otherwise, ulysses doesn't pay much attention to the sophomores unless they're on his (& clem's) quidditch team, but if he's acquainted with josh, he'll wave! josh is better off not knowing him, because he's a trash can child who thinks he's cuter than he is.

Toby is probably on Josh's list of favorite people in school already tbh. Josh just doesn't do team sports, but I think he'd really enjoy watching and probably help any way he can. If that means things like endurance training, then so be it! Plus happy people are always alright.

And actually, a lot of your characters have some really great overlap with Josh. I kind of really love this!

ferdie is a Ribbonfin Senior, and your resident head boy. His mom is kind of a MACUSA Enemy #1 because she was an investigative reporter a while back who stole state secrets annnd very narrowly missed prison. Ferdie's working on his way out of that situation. He tries to be very supportive to Babyfins and he'll be around if Josh has questions or issues!

Addy Foster-Hayes at

addytives is an Azurcrest senior, and the Potions Teaching Assistant, so Josh might know her from that! She has a burgeoning potions company that she develops for even while in school. She's also battling past party-girl/acting dumb ways, but she's very kind. Her little sister's a Ribbonfin sophomore, so she's sure to check in with them sometimes!

Jade Otterwell is at

odder and she's an Azurcrest junior. She's weird and very morbid, but she talks a lot, so she might run into Josh. Especially because one of her favorite Things is D&F! She'll probably threaten to battle him to the death. She only kind of means it.

Ira Ashworth is at this journal and he's a Coppertale Junior. He's a wannabe healer/overachiever who ends up getting in way too much trouble for his 4.0. He's forming a debate team! He may talk at Josh because he doesn't ever shut up.

Tuesday North is my sophomore and who knows why she's last? She's at

tues! She's Ebonhide's seeker and on the school team as well. She's a stunt flyer and broom rodeo star who's trying to crossover to Quidditch. She has a lot of confidence around people she feels equal to or in charge of (hi sophomores) but absolutely melts if she has to talk to more than two (2) seniors at one time. She's in D&F with Josh too and will be nice to him since he's a sophomore!

It's probably a good thing for Ferdie that Josh doesn't take the sins of the parents into consideration, huh? He doesn't know his dad's parents for that reason. He wouldn't ever think poorly on someone for something someone else did. For Addy I can see him offering to help by testing potions out for her, if she's ever into that? Since he'll know what's in them or understand her when she explains. Providing he knows she's working on that stuff anyway haha.

ngl though I absolutely love the idea of battles with Jade. Definitely not to the death but it sounds like there's potential for a healthy rivalry and I'm down for that.

Nisha Lewis

godzillabutworse is a Coppertale Sophomore. She's a Quidditch hotshot and a chaser on her house team. She's a weirdo monster with a deathwish, but she's low key sweet and doesn't like seeing other people hurt. Nisha likes to encourage Very Bad Ideas in the sophomore class - within reason - and will never waste an opportunity to push idiot plot. Nisha is also a MACUSA kid - her mom is the rep for West Virginia, known for being an intense woman and rumored to not be a great mom. Nisha and Josh seem to have a lot of class overlap, so they'll see each other around!

Griffin Flowers

cosmonot is an Azurcrest Sophomore. He's Azurcrest's keeper, an astronomy nut and a very lazy boy. His family owns a squonk farm in Amish country, and they're very isolated from muggles, so he doesn't really get muggle stuff at all. Griffin's nice and naive and just wants to party and have fun in a low energy way.

Antonia Papadakis

heyitsnia is an Ebonhide Senior. She's the Head Girl. Nia's a bit of a party girl who mostly tries to keep that under wraps while at school. She's no nonsense about the rules, but is willing to look the other way so her peers can have their fun, as long as they're safe.

bubblewrapped is an Azurcrest Junior. He's the Charms TA, a hypochondriac, a loser nerd goth and an aspiring auror.

Yancey Montgomery

hotdish is a Ribbonfin Senior. He's LARP president and he likes making fake weapons and armor in art and artificing classes! A nice boy.

Me too, if/when I ever have that many characters. It's been a long, long time since I have though. My last HP game for sure I played four and just vomited them out to new people lmfao. It's so much easier that way sometimes.

I also love that so much can be said of Danny by just saying he's an asshole lmfao. But I can totally see Nisha and Josh being friendly. Very Bad Ideas tend to make fun happen and Josh is all for that.

cupquake -- ribbonfin junior & cheer captain. mads is a pureblood from a shady family w a very over-involved show mom & a famous quodpot playing sister ... so, kind of Always Trying To Be Her Best, kinda perky and responsible and soulless, v concerned w image. she's capable of questionable things, but loving toward friends & her cheer squad in particular? mostly she comes across as far more shallow than she actually is. currently going through some rough emotional stuff. she has definitely attempted to recruit joshua into cheer & i think vaguely looks out for ribbonfin sophomores when she remembers she cares, so!!

i also play pandora lacey, this journal. she's an azurcrest sophomore & reserve for their quidditch team. pan's v academically oriented, a jack of all trades, flits from topic of interest to topic of interest, etc. she's generally friendly and open-minded and agreeable, but also kind of a lil weirdo. she also has a brother, heathcliff, in coppertale. she and joshua are in a bunch of classes together & i think she'd like him! they can definitely be buddies, if you want. c:

destructobot. he is a senior ebonhide, keeper for the ebonhide and school teams, skateboarding gardener, secret poet and grudging keeper of a soft mushy heart. used to be quite prickly, still is a bit, but less of a jerk now. most often sighted near garden or greenhouse, or barreling down a path on his board. he's probably not super relevant to joshua but he's in dueling + fencing plus OE so they might run into eachother there? wilde was also at ilvermorny once upon a time.

phineas bones,

phin, coppertale senior & a hogwarts transfer from hufflepuff. he's a tinkerer and doodler, brain all over the place, a kinda careless eccentric kinda guy but capable of hard work etc. his mum is the last living daughter of edgar bones. somehow. he's also v good at transfiguration, putting things off until the last second, popping up in random places, and subtly (/not-so-subtly) making fun of people. phin is kind of treating this place like it's not real. he would be friendly with joshua!!

He's... a huge stickler for uniforms, so he's maybe going to try to actually murder Josh in hopes of getting his uniform in order :( He maybe tries to do uniform checks before they leave the cabins in the morning. I imagine this is... a big point of contention. Outside of uniform stuff they probably get along?? Rupert takes everything very seriously even though he shouldn't, but he means well. He can be kind of dramatic but is quick to forgive, at least.

Hello! Welcome! I'm Ben and I play Webster Knox, an Azurcrest senior/good boy who just transferred in from Beauxbatons this year (although he grew up outside Pittsburgh). Webster came to Gooseberry as a reclusive but well-socialized musician and has made it his mission this year to come out of his shell and have a bunch of adventures and firsts before he finishes high school.

Webster and Josh don't have a ton of overlap but they are both in OE together. Also, Webster is fluent in Spanish and pretty much fluent in French (although he's less confident in it), so they've probably discovered that commonality, too!

Yeah not a lot of overlap, but there's nothing that can't be swayed in rp land lol. Josh speaks Spanish frequently enough with Dia so if he's ever heard them he could approach Josh sometime and that's how things get/got started? If you like.

byebyebirdies) is an ebonhide in his year! she's tenacious and won't be bossed around by any upperclassmen ):< but she loves her sophs fiercely. she was in a muggle nick-style show and girl band with her sisters when she was younger but now she's all about quidditch. because josh is a soph, she thinks he's THE BEE'S KNEES!!!

CASEY patterson (this journal!) is a senior coppertale. he's cheer captain and is the student with the key to the dance studio, which he thinks makes him DANCE COMMANDER. he's a bro who's *trying* to be good, but often fails. tragically short attention span, endless energy, and an ego the size of betelgeuse. josh and he prob won't cross paths much, but if they do, i'm... so... so sorry.
