Classes: Hermeticism, Transfiguration, Potions, Charms, OE, Artificing, Astronomy, Magical Rudiments, Aesthetic Magic

Extracurriculars: Gaming, Quidditch (Reserve), OE, Frequently pops into other club meetings if the topic seems interesting

Answers to anything resembling her name, including but not limited to: Bert, Bertie, or Libby.

As a prefect, she isn’t big on punishment, and is inconsistent in whether she decides to take points or not (because they’re an arbitrary system with zero bearing on the world). Instead, she feels that if people know better, they will do better. Therefore, she has talks (they’re not lectures!) with people. Really long talks. Possibly with references. She believes in adhering to the rules and maintaining order, she just doesn’t always acknowledge all the rules as valid. Buddy system is important. Dress code is irrelevant.

Liberty is all about science!!! She is very open minded, and loves to discuss (debate, argue) about everything. She’s willing to entertain any unlikely theory at length, and equally likely to question accepted facts as a thought exercise. She’s interested in absolutely all subjects, and wishes she could learn everything there ever was. She keeps diagrams, notes, outlines, lists, lists of lists… She’s a serial project starter, but rarely finishes them.

For the most part, Liberty seems unflappable. Whether it’s a big dance or an important test, she seems calm. Classmates got kidnapped? Doppelgangers in the woods. She has questions - lots of questions! - but she seems pretty calm. Liberty likes to think this is because she is at least lowkey anxious at all times. It’s the emotions version of people who wear ankle and wrist weights as they go about their daily lives to build up strength. Or maybe it’s emotions muscle fatigue. The result is an Eeyore-like acceptance of the facts, assumption that the worst is going to happen, and a planning for the inevitable aftermath.

Her parents are anti-Statute of Secrecy activists who have been to jail multiple times for breaking the Statute and revealing magic to muggles and generally causing Obliviators a lot of headaches. As such, her aunt and uncle have custody of her.

Uhhhhhhhhh honestly I have very little for her though :( Hazel and Ramon obvs have some class overlaps and stuff and Ramon plays Quid. They both probably like her just fine? Ramon's pretty good at listening so she can talk at him forever if she wants?? As long as she's not projecting her anxiousness. Hazel will run around with her at OE?

Phi is obviously adult bear mother thing. She probably is a little thrown off by Liberty but will try to be a good prefect parent!!

Rupert is offended that she doesn't care about dress code more.

Guess who's Libery's problem.... this guy!!! :)))) They're both mad scientist types so Archie probably looks up to her, but that's not going to make him much more manageable.

Spencer will like her a lot and will be interested in whatever she's working on. He's LOUD and friendly, and maybe he'll try and drag her into the trash juniors along with poor sweet Austin.

Calvin will be slightly more standoffish because.... Calvin. But Bert sounds perfectly capable of handling him. He's abrasive but she can reason with him if there's a conflict. He'll respect her for being a smarty pants.

AND THEN THERE'S KENZIE AND REID who also have limited emotional capacity and are prefects.

as the last! ebonquid! teammate!!!, she has to deal with ulysses, unfortunately. he's proud of his babies. both he and clem go pretty hard on the pitch, but when it comes to Feelings, he's always trying to wrap the team up in cotton wool, lmfao. if she calls him on being a softie, he'll tease her more.

i think she and zach went to the same middle school?? did you settle on that???? either way, zach's way more liberal artsy than bert is, but like her, he values the pursuit of all knowledge, so he's gonna love her Scientist shtick. i think their personalities will mesh well, bc even tho they have pretty different personalities, they're kind of complementary. nerdy yin-yang. and they're both prefects!!! zach is also something of a worrywart, so hopefully, they won't spin each other up, lol.

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER? ♥ Maybe? Anyway! Liberty is a wonderful nerdface and I don't have a ton to offer, but...

I have a big bear and a little bear that will see her around! Casper appreciates that she's smart and can keep her cool and is probably only occasionally exasperated by her lack of focus and oversharing of probably-irrelevant facts. But as long as she does her job, they're cool~ Also hello Quidditch teammate! ♥ Baltahzar probably swings between finding her Very Boring and Very Funny. You're great, Bertie. Keep it up.

Lachlan is her Hermeticism TA! He loves how dedicated she is to learning and he likes to talk to Hermetical theory with her but her being so scattered and willing to entertain any crazy thing likely leaves him a little frazzled. Maybe they can bond over lists/notes/diagrams/etc. and Gaming? IDK. He's here.

Cole probably thinks she's very smart and likes to listen to her talk. He doesn't typically engage in debates or anything but he'll talk to her (or let her talk at him) about anything without any judgment~ Aaaand Heathcliff just...omg. He doesn't know how to handle her. Why are you a sentient book? Why are you so smart? But I'm sure he likes her just fine when she's not traumatizing his roommates.
