Ahhh yesss I keep thinking this too. :(
I think I just assumed his blanket closeness to everyone in the cabin which is probably bad.
HE PROBABLY spent a little time their freshman year assuming that like Todd wasn't interested in being friends because he already had Cash (Ira was a Nerd freshman year,) but as time went on he'd talk to him more and really like him :(

I feel like Todd would definitely be open to like... aggressively bugging him, just cause he was so excited about going to a fancy boarding school that he just wanted to DO! EVERYTHING! so he was like "hey roommate i don't really know come to dueling club with me" or smthing
