Hi everyone! Heather here (player of Dominic and Tabitha) with #3, Azurcrest sophomore William Chase.

Before I intro him though, I want to give HUGE thanks to Emily and the mods for helping me to perfect him. He's something of a departure from the usual chars I write, and with the factual info from the mods and the incredibly detailed (and constructive!) feedback from Emily, I feel much happier about giving him a decent shot.

Anyway, on to William!

Born in Louisiana but brought up in Colorado, William lived in a group foster home until he was adopted at age four. This part is public knowledge (kind of obvious when you're white and your parents are African and Native American). What is not public knowledge, and maybe even not the closest of his friends know, is that the caregivers when he was young were physically abusive and this is how his first magic was triggered - in self defence.

He attended a small prep school in Colorado before Gooseberry, and attends by virtue of his grades across the curriculum and his abilities in muggle sports (he mostly plays soccer. And god knows I hate writing that word, lol). He's in LARP, Events and Outdoor Exploration, and is trying to convince people that non magical sports can be just as fun as magical ones!

He's a bouncy puppy, basically, with endless perkiness (unless you push one of his buttons) and is basically a cat dad to a black Persian kitten (whom he maintains is part Kneazle) called Dave. Yes, Dave.

Soooo. Cecil wants to big brother the heck out of you, adorable new Azurcrest! He'll definitely be friendly and encouraging toward William and they'll likely see a fair amount of each other since they're in the same house and have overlapping electives (Events and Outdoor Exploration). He's also very willing to try a sport that's played ON THE GROUND, so show him the ropes kiddo~

Casper...well, there's less there to work with and he's sort of a jerk anyway. So. We'll see how that goes. ;)

Awwww, Will!

So, Calvin was probably Not So Nice to him last year, but this year he's gotten a lot better and has been significantly more pleasant. He probably finds Will a little exasperating, but it's turning into more affectionate exasperation? He's not playing any muggle sports, though. SORRY.

Reid and Will may not cross paths often, but Reid would be decent to him!

Aaaand Diego likes to be a big brother to all the baby birds, but less of a rule abiding big brother than Cecil. He'll play soccer! He'll play soccer very badly.

While Will isn't the fighting back kind, for the most part, I think he'd probably give Calvin a little bit of the cold shoulder? He probably finds it difficult to trust him at least.

Will will enjoy getting to teach because he's just excited that people want to play!

Addy loves her baby Acrests and is in outdoor exploration too! Though she doesn't always you know, go. She'll still be nice.
And while she probably does not know of his childhood situation, she thinks it is pertinent to mention she'd absolutely march to Louisiana and hang some bitches up by their toenails if she did :)

But, yes. Frankie's also a chipper little dweeb, so they'll probably get along well. They've got LARP and Events together - and she's muggleborn, so she'd definitely played soccer before. (Probably not that well. But she's played!)

And, no, not at all! She probably wouldn't catch on. Because she's kind of oblivious like that. And also he's tall and super cute and ha, no way, nice one bro. But she'll totally drag him along to Ree's cuddle-parties and chatter at him during Events stuff.

Awww! He thinks she's dainty and super pretty so OMG HE HAS NO CHANCE but he'll cuddle because, cuddles 😀

I am so down for them being a collective disaster with no ability to get anything resembling an act together. With bonus cuddling. Because, really. No reason to miss out on quality snuggling time.

YES. THIS IS A STELLAR IDEA.

And bonus bets by other Azurcrests on whether said act will ever be got together...

I feel like Azurcrest has a lot of underground betting pools in general, though. Put down three dragot on pepperoni pizza for this Friday. Twelve on Mrs. Rhee force-choking Mr. Merrill before Christmas break.

Essie is totally up for playing soccer. ~~But she doesn't want to be on Diego's team, ugh.~~ She went to a muggle elementary school for like five years, so she is totally up for dodgeball and soccer and any other gym class activity you can think of. If Will tries to get a muggle sports club organized, Essie is totally on board with supporting that.

This totally needs to happen, especially by spring!

OMG! I am revamping a character that has an abusive past. Not that Ryan's is similar outside of that, and he wouldn't advertise his history either, but omg the poor babies <3

Vee thinks he's adorable and even though she's older, she'd be friendly. They're in outdoor exploration and events together too!

Ana is in his year, but can be a bit prickly upon first meeting. Still, since he's a sports guy and not an asshat, she'd likely be friendly towards him (her version at least!) They also have charms, herbology, potions, astronomy together too!

Not everyone can have sunshine and roses, I guess - I just want to be sure I'm pitching him right, given that he has other complications in his life.

My reaction just then was very nearly HAHAHAHA FUCK OFF! I think some of the naughtier characters in game are rubbing off on me!

EYYYYYYYYYYYY, I have Levi in LARP and OE! He's a senior Azurcrest, Chaser, probably the anti-Cecil at this point. He'll be the lil devil on Will's shoulder.

Levi would be interested in soccer in theory, but I think the extent of his experience is kicking the ball off the cliffside and into the ocean while throwing his arms up and screaming "FUTBOLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!" before somebody was made to go retrieve it.

He's also into animals and his mom's a magizoologist and his eldest brother is a magical vet. They can gab about cute creatures together.

I MEAN, HE LIVED ON A SMALL ISLAND WITH A LARGE HISPANIC WIZARD POPULATION. HE KNOWS THAT HE'S SUPPOSED TO GET REALLY HYPED UP ABOUT FUTBOL BUT NONE OF THE LITTLE WIZARD KIDS FULLY GRASPED THE CONCEPT OF THE MUGGLE GAME. so seeing who can kick it furthest out into the ocean is the best sport.

Okay so Pippa will know him from classes and will definitely be friendly!! She thinks Will is cute and fun and may possibly attempt to flirt with him at some point if she gets up the courage. But otherwise they can be perky together!

Henrietta knows how to play soccer so if Will ever organises a game she'd be all over that. (Tbh she'd be up for any muggle sports/games he suggests.) Het gets really competitive so she would PLAY TO WIN oh my god why does no one on my team understand the rules. Anywayyyy she'll be friendly because yay Azurcrests!

All of that sounds pretty good to me - and we should definitely have Henrietta and Will play sports together some time! 😀
