Oh no, your character has accidentally ingested Veritaserum! This powerful truth serum effectively forces the drinker to answer any questions put to them truthfully. This is probably bad news for even the most well-behaved teenager.

What appeals to you about healing? I'm guessing that's not following in your dad's footsteps.

Good guess. I think it's because it's logical and precise. No touchy-feely guess work. No Sight or whatever. Just training, memorization, practice.
