Hiiiii everyone. This is Meggie, and like picking up another pair of shoes I really don't need, I'm here with what I bought during the senior liquidation sale. This is Neil Rosenkrans, the comedy relief sidekick who dies early in every teen horror movie. Here's hoping this archetype has a better chance of survival at Gooseberry.

• Classes: Charms, Hermeticism, History of Magic, Herbology, Transfiguraton. Artificing, Defense Against the Dark Arts.


• Clubs: Outdoor Exploration, Gaming


• 5'6", from San Diego, doesn't go to the Grotto for parties.


• Neil fancies himself a paranormal investigator. He likes to go out into the woods with his very serious investigation crew (i.e. a few particular Ribbonfin girls iirc) and try to talk to spirits with CUTTING EDGE TECHNOLOGY and a little bit of YELLING AT GHOSTS. He's gotten some convincing (or so he insists) EVPs from the Grotto that he'd love to show you!!! If you've ever seen Ghost Adventures, he's a Zak Bagans fanboy.


• He's probably largely known as an awkward, "funny" nerd. He tries to be The Funny Guy and makes a lot of bad jokes, but mostly it's just a little unfortunate. He's a bit socially awkward and really wants people to like him, even though he doesn't really like many people.


• Really passionate about his own hobbies, buuuuut he's pretty self-involved, and is easily bored by most people. He doesn't have a lot of friends because his attention is hard to keep.


• DESPITE THIS, he needs some friends. To the friends he does have, Neil is loyal and loving and will bend over backwards for you, but you just have to accept he'll make you groan and embarrass you, like, all the time.


• Talented electronics engineer who mostly uses his skills to create objects for his investigations. His dad's not thrilled about this.


• Ridiculously courageous. Not fearless, per se, but definitely a brave guy who's always willing to put himself on the line. It means he's lion-hearted and will stick up for people and do scary but important things... but also that he is 0% scared of the forest. 0% scared that he's annoying you by talking too much about EMF meters. 0% scared of putting himself in unfortunate social situations that he later regrets.


• Has a sensitive Ebonhide poet soul hidden under all that dumb nerd boy. He loves the mysterious and the paranormal, and always wants things to be stranger, mysteries to be deeper, stories to be wilder. Desperately, desperately hopes that truth is always stranger than fiction.

So, while I think I already know who his regular fellow investigators are, he does need friends, people who will talk paranormal with him, people who find him exasperating/annoying, and... whatever else!!!
