Hazel

Character Name: Hazel Keating
Opt-in for Death: Nooope
Random Journal Loss: Ask me

HEART - PHYSICAL
Which of their senses would they struggle most with losing?: Sight, hearing
How important is their appearance to them?: Hazel cares, but this is about saving people so she'd be a troll if needed; it'll obviously a bit harder to give up because it feels so permanent, but she cares more about her friends.
What would be the worst place to injure them?: Hands or arms - she'd worry about becoming ineffectual in a fight
Other suggestions for this category?: Hazel sees herself as a protector, so any hits to her ability to effectively help others would take a mental, as well as a physical toll. Don't think she won't try to power through them like everything is a-ok though!! Anything that would slow her down (including cutting into her athleticism by winding her quickly) would freak her out a bit.

EYE - MENTAL
Describe their most treasured memory: Hazel doesn't have a most treasured memory, per se, but she has a long list of small memories that pull big feelings out of her and are important to how she sees herself as a person, and how she relates to people. Lying outside over the summer with her uncle and watching the stars. Winning the shinny championship last year. Seeing Ty after endgame last year. Saving Micah during endgame last year (obviously not a treasured memory, but one she values). Being made Team Gooseberry cheer captain.
Who is the most important person to them?: Micah, Calvin, Cole, Fern, Zach, CopperJuniors in general... and a good chunk of the junior class .
Outside of school: her uncle, Ty, Quinn
What skill/talent are they most proud of?: While not generally in her list of most-proud-of things, Hazel highly values whatever DADA skills she has (especially casting a Patronus) and her healer skills during endgame. Along with this, her athleticism - knowing how to climb trees well, flips, etc.
Other suggestions for this category?:
If false or altered memories are a thing, anything to undercut the confidence around her actions last year - sacrificing a true recollection of an event, or the end result of something so it's unclear if it turned out alright. Make her think she was too chicken to jump into the lake, or cross the bridge, or power through! Make her think that Ana took forever to physically recover from their encounter in the lake and it's her fault, or maybe not remember if Sam even made it out alive!! This would bring her down (but, warning, would ultimately pump her up).

Taking away her ability to not just say whatever she's thinking would be huge, too - she tries to measure her responses to things, especially when it comes to talking about her own feelings and fears. She wants to be a pillar for others, so blabbing that she's petrified would be difficult for her to handle.

HAND - MATERIAL
How would they cope without their wand?: While Hazel would be Not Thrilled because wands are obviously useful, she's going to be going as physical as she can manage during endgame. That being said, the more incapacitated she becomes throughout, the worse this will be.
What is their most prized possession?: Hazel's not super attached to a lot of things, but there are some things she'd be slightly more hesitant to part with - Ty's jacket, her hockey jersey from Chris, her wand because her uncle gathered the wood for it.
What personal achievement are they most proud of?: Prooobably being Team Gooseberry cheer captain, but even this isn't something she cares all that much about.
Other suggestions for this category?:
Not a material person??

Requests: Nothing at the momeeeent.
HARD NO'S: I don't want her to become totally ineffectual because I want to play her throughout endgame :( So while losing sight in one eye is a-ok, please not both. Losing a hand is fine, but not both, etc. I want her to feel like she still has the ability to do something and save her friends, even if it's a struggle.
Anything else?: Things that will end up being sacrifices Hazel isn't willing to make are things that will totally incapacitate her, or things that will do harm to others; she's all about protecting, and will give up quite a bit in the name of it!! So, when it starts getting to the point where she should be rejecting sacrifices... that's the place to hit!
